Stormy Daniels Expertly Taunts Trump Over Whether He’ll Take The Stand At Trial

Stormy Daniels, the woman who allegedly had a sexual encounter with Donald Trump in years past and whose subsequent hush money helped spur Trump’s currently unfolding criminal trial in New York City, went after the ex-president on social media this Thursday.

“Real men respond to testimony by being sworn in and taking the stand in court. Oh…wait. Nevermind,” she remarked — referring, obviously, to the ex-president.

She posted the remarks after Thursday’s court proceedings wrapped up. Trump himself had also taken to effectively responding to the day’s events via social media… with an approach decidedly different from Daniels’ deference to the process of testifying in court.

“THE CORRUPT AND HIGHLY CONFLICTED JUDGE, JUAN MERCHAN, IS PRESIDING OVER THE DEATH OF THE NEW YORK CITY AND STATE SYSTEM OF JUSTICE,” claimed Trump over on Truth Social, the knock-off, Trump-branded social media platform.

Needless to say, one guy — Trump — facing a single criminal case that is moving forward in a way he doesn’t like does not entail the “death” of the justice system in New York City, New York state, or anywhere else, like the U.S. in general. That’s not a logical connection.

Trump, meanwhile, has previously claimed that a gag order imposed earlier by presiding Judge Juan Merchan limits him in the context of potential testimony from the stand… which Merchan refuted. “Trump said gag order prevented him from testifying,” recapped legal expert Norm Eisen in earlier reporting on the Trump trial in New York. “Judge: you have an absolute right to testify at trial or not & gag order has nothing to do with it[.] Merchan is not tolerating Trump’s disinfo campaign!”
