Some people got ugly after the mass shooting at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Florida. Nevermind that the shooter walked into a school and mowed down 14 students and three staff with an AR-15. Nevermind that the AR-15 cannot be used for hunting, because it is a weapon of war that shreds the game. Fortunately, people have begun to take up the survivors’ message.
The National Rifle Association (NRA) did not wait until all the victims were buried before lashing out at the kids who demanded the adults do something. NRA speaker, Dana Loesch, came down hard on “the media”, “every Hollywood phony,” and “athletes:”
‘To every lying member of the media, to every Hollywood phony, to the role model athletes who use their free speech to alter and undermine what our flag represents…Your Time is running out. The clock starts now.’

Actor and comedian, Alec Baldwin, nailed the NRA spokeswoman with his pointed words. He tweeted that she “doesn’t care how many dead bodies she has to step over” for her cause:
‘I see that @DLoesch wants to “take back the truth.” And she doesn’t care how many dead bodies she has to step over in that pursuit. The Second Amendment is not a moral credit card that buys you all the guns you want. That law needs to be rethought.’
The Twitter world went wild. Here are some of our favorites below:
