When there are lies too long and detailed for Trump to get across on Twitter, he can always rely on the next best platform: his favorite state-run media network, Fox News.
After days of protests against Trump’s cruel border family separation policy, it’s time for the president to speak out and address those protests. He’ll do so by appearing on Fox to lie to hosts who will allow him to do so. There will be no tough questions, no pushback, nothing to hold Trump’s feet to the fire while babies sleep locked away from their mothers. It will be nothing more than a propaganda interview and fawning over the wannabe-dictator.
Trump did say one true thing in his Sunday morning Twitter rant. Many Democrats are calling to abolish ICE since the agency is no longer being used for its original purpose of monitoring terrorists threats and criminal activity that endangers the lives of American people. Instead, they’ve become Trump’s personal gestapo, and even many of the agents are ready for the agency to be disbanded.

It’s almost as if the desire to toss children in cages and arrest asylum-seekers after separating them from their families at the border isn’t something Americans want at all. It’s almost as if we never did want those things. Perhaps Trump would have had a much easier time finding a huge following in Nazi Germany.
