Donald Trump cheats at golf, but that has not been the only place he has cheated. First Lady Melania has dedicated herself to her own child and to children across the world. On the other hand, the president has been obviously awkward around them.
POTUS sat on a miniature chair and tried to color the U.S. flag. He looked on as the other kids took out their big markers and worked away.
Trump visited the Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, hoping for a positive photo-op after a fully botched week. Mrs. Trump and Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar were there, too.
As Esquire noted:
‘They took part in a time-honored tradition: sitting in tiny desks alongside adorable kids in hope that the guileless innocence on the little faces surrounding them will take some of the heat off of their craven politicking.’
Unfortunately, Trump screwed up something that should have been a breeze. Actually, he failed a simple exercise.
Maybe, POTUS was thinking of the Russian Federation flag when he colored in blue stripes. Certainly Americans have no blue stripes in the red-and-white striped U.S. flag.
Later he spoke at the Ohio Republican Party’s annual state dinner which C-SPAN recorded. There, he tried to change the subject:
‘“What the hell is the NFL doing? Do they not have a clue? It’s hurt them badly. They think they’re doing something smart by not broadcasting the national anthem?’
Although the president gave himself an A+ during a recent FOX interview, he probably failed this kindergarten task. He might have even received a does-not-play-well-with-others note from the teacher, too.
