Why did the entire Trump family traipse into the U.K.’s Queen Elizabeth’s Buckingham Palace following Donald Trump? It appeared as if the British royalty was meeting the Trump royalty. Did the president bring home from his trip the idea of a Trump patriarchy, or had he had that thought for quite some time? Lately, he has been saying that his people want him to stay on another 10 years. That is a frightening idea. Then, there is Ivanka, obviously her father’s favorite child. Reports out of the White House say she is acting presidential.
The president’s eldest daughter tweeted about the “vibrant economy” and fostering “economic growth:”
‘In this vibrant economy we are laser-focused on bringing people off the sidelines and fostering economic growth inclusive of all Americans. Looking forward to our 2nd American Workforce Policy Advisory Board Meeting tomorrow in Charlotte, NC!’
The Newsweek Magazine reported that people have been saying that the senior White House adviser acts as if she has been preparing the American voters for a first daughter presidency.
Last year co-host of MSNBC’s Morning Joe Mika Brzezinski said:
‘I think Ivanka is running for president or something. you see on Instagram, she’s hopscotching the country as if nothing is wrong, doing little selfies and pictures of herself in Iowa and Indiana, and wherever else, connecting with people—sort of.’
Former Trump economic adviser Gary Cohn said this of Ivanka:
‘She thinks she’s going to be president of the United States. She thinks this is like the Kennedys, the Bushes, and now the Trumps.’
Journalists Vickie Ward noted that Don Jr. appeared at “about 70 events for Republicans,” and Ivanka “did hardly any:”
‘I think there’s even a bit of a tussle with Don Jr. because he wouldn’t mind having a go himself at running for president…the truth is, Don Jr.plays much better with Republican “Ivanka did hardly any.”’
Ward continued:
‘It’s not exactly a secret in the White House that Ivanka has a hissy fit whenever Donald Trump Jr. gets positive press. She gets especially irked over articles speculating about his political future. Potential fratricide?’
