Donald Trump must be getting nervous about the cascading number of House Democrats peeling away from those who do not want impeachment. The number was 257 at last count, and they need a majority of Democrats to call for an impeachment. They are well over that number as POTUS sends out what looks like desperate words.
The Dems need 217 (and a half) of the 435 members to move forward. The president of these United States did not negotiate with the House, at least to our knowledge. Instead, he just offered up the “complete fully declassified and unredacted transcript” of his conversations with Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky:
‘I am currently at the United Nations representing our Country, but have authorized the release tomorrow of the complete, fully declassified and unredacted transcript of my phone conversation with President Zelensky of Ukraine….’
POTUS claimed there was no “quid pro quo.” However, the president has been known to pull a Lucy, pulling back the football at the last moment. He might change his mind or send over totally redacted copies, just to name a few. Trump continued:
‘….You will see it was a very friendly and totally appropriate call. No pressure and, unlike Joe Biden and his son, NO quid pro quo! This is nothing more than a continuation of the Greatest and most Destructive Witch Hunt of all time!’
