President Donald Trump is deeply and erratically paranoid. This Sunday morning, he apparently tuned in to Meet the Press, where host Chuck Todd interviewed House Intelligence Committee Chairman and lead impeachment case manager Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), who’s been among the leaders against the president in his ongoing Senate impeachment trial. Trump… had some thoughts about the interview, after spending the earlier morning threatening Schiff as if the president is trying to be a mob boss. He is still wrapped up in Schiff’s paraphrase from months ago of an infamous phone conversation that Trump had. This detail should be a footnote in the president’s impeachment, but Trump has worked himself up into a frenzy.
He tweeted:

Todd did not host a “softball” interview with Schiff, but considering the precedent of the president’s angry antagonism of his opponents, the host likely could have said just about anything and evoked the same response.
During Schiff’s time on Meet the Press, he did pointedly insist that without witnesses at the president’s trial, there will be no legitimate exoneration for him, no matter what the Republican majority in the Senate concludes. Considering his baseless obsession with proving that Special Counsel Robert Mueller had actually exonerated him through his Russia investigation — although Mueller insisted otherwise — that’s likely to have unnerved the president. Senate Republicans have feverishly attempted to block additional witnesses from the trial so far in an apparent effort to speed through an acquittal for the president.

Like it’s his comfort food or something, Trump continued from the above into another laundry list rant about how great that he and the Republican Party he leads supposedly are. Is that why, in the most recent elections, they lost dozens of Congressional seats and very low portions of the general public approve of them?
