The Coronavirus is a national emergency, just as the Ebola virus was. Once the virus moves out of the original country, it typically moves into other countries via the closely packed airplanes flying in and out of the country and via other forms of transportation.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) tweeted that the “president’s request for coronavirus response funding” was “long overdue and completely inadequate:”
‘Americans need a coordinated, fully-funded, whole-of-government response to keep them and their loved ones safe. The President’s request for coronavirus response funding is long overdue and completely inadequate to the scale of this emergency.’
According to The World Health Organization:
‘COVID-19 is the infectious disease caused by the most recently discovered coronavirus. This new virus and disease were unknown before the outbreak began in Wuhan, China, in December 2019.’
‘These are not helpful to protect against COVID-2019 and can be harmful:
- Smoking
- Taking traditional herbal remedies
- Wearing multiple masks
- Taking self-medication such as antibiotics ‘
Individuals with a fever, cough, and difficulty breathing see medical care.
For some reason, Trump has not called the virus a pandemic, but as of Tuesday morning, it had spread to 35 countries. Most of them encircling China.
