W.H. Staffer Leaks Scenes Of Trump Chaos Over Coronavirus To WaPost

Donald Trump did not take a traditional path toward solving the nation’s newest virus Coronavirus 19. Rather than appointing a “czar,” he wanted someone in the White House to control it. When POTUS took the podium for a rare to an almost extinct news conference, he started off with a false reference about the COVID-19 virus.

He omitted the California case in the news conference and came across as claiming the virus was close to being eradicated, according to The Washington Post:

‘And again, when you have 15 people — and the 15 within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero — that’s a pretty good job we’ve done.’

A top White House official said:

‘It’s complete chaos. Everyone is just trying to get a handle on what the [expletive] is going on.’

Director of the CDC National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases Nancy Messonnier said the virus coming to America was not a “question of ‘if’ but ‘when:”

‘We are asking the American public to prepare for the expectation that this might be bad.’

Trump spoke in direct opposition to Messonnier:

‘Well, I don’t think it’s inevitable. It probably will, it possibly will. It could be at a very small level or it could be at a larger level. Whatever happens, we’re totally prepared.’

A top Health and Human Services (HHS) official spoke about Alex Azar as the chair of Trump’s coronavirus 19 team:

‘He’s not in control anymore, and that’s clearYou need HHS at the table — he’s just not going to be the one guiding the administration through the response.’

Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Anthony Fauci said:

‘When you look carefully at those statements, they’re not as contradictory as you might think, Even though it is well contained now [in the United States], what is going on in the rest of the world is making it look more and more like we will have something that either is or approaches a pandemic.’

In Trump’s Wednesday news conference, he said:

‘I’m going to be announcing — exactly right now — that I’m going to be putting our vice president, And Mike will be working with the professionals, doctors and everybody else that’s working. The team is brilliant.’

Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT) was in the private briefing showing his objections. Later, he said:

‘One, I’m very disappointed in the preparation that’s been done over the last few years anticipating the potential of an outbreak of substance. We’ve had SARS, we’ve had MERS, Ebola. We should have stockpiled the kind of protective gear that our medical professionals will need and our citizens will need, and we haven’t. And looking forward, the [spending] number that’s being suggested strikes me as being inadequate to the level of risk.”s better. It could maybe go away. We’ll see what happens. Nobody really knows.’
