NYC Leader Hilariously Clowns On Trump For Whining About Traveling Through The City

Among his other waves of complaints in tandem with a currently unfolding criminal trial in New York City on charges of falsifying business records in connection with pre-2016 election hush money, Trump also recently took to complaining on social media about plans in New York City for congestion pricing, which is basically just a form of tolls.

“It’s been a failure everywhere it has been tried, and would only work if a place were HOT, HOT, HOT, which New York City is not right now,” Trump complained on Truth Social.

A leader from the city’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), which runs public transit, responded in part with directions for using the city’s subway system to get from Trump Tower to the courthouse for his trial.

“Once streets are less congested the former president’s SUV should be able to get to the courthouse faster, or he can use mass transit like millions of hardworking New Yorkers do every day,” said the MTA’s John J. McCarthy. The statement — shared by journalist Michael Gold — came with those directions, plotting a course southward across Manhattan on the city’s 4 train.

Trump’s antagonism towards New York City, no matter his own extensive background in the area, has been rather consistent, and he infamously moved his primary place of residence to Florida in recent years… although he is compelled to attend the currently unfolding trial, which is handling charges that amount to dozens of alleged felonies.

On Tuesday, Stormy Daniels — a woman who allegedly had a sexual encounter with Trump before she later received that hush money — took the witness stand, discussing details of both the alleged encounter and the eventual funds. Trump posted — but quickly deleted — angry complaints about Daniel’s forthcoming testimony earlier in the day, taking down the comments presumably in light of the presiding judge’s threat of possible jail-time for future gag order violations.
