A pro-Joe Biden super PAC just released a powerful new ad that hits Donald Trump right where it hurts the most — in his reelection bid. America First (First), a Democratic-leaning super PAC, shows how the coronavirus illnesses and deaths continue to speed ahead. The ad is devastating.
The number of COVID-19 cases just reached one million and the number of coronavirus-related deaths reached over 56,000 in just five weeks.
Priorities USA Action put out the ad. The nonprofit super PAC was “founded in 2011 to educate and engage Americans to speak out.” The super PAC planned to release it in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin first. These were strong battleground states in the last election, where they put Trump over the top.
Priorities USA is spending over $2 million on TV and online ads over the next two weeks. It has already spent $10 million and has pledged to spend a total of $65 million on advertisements to take down the sitting president, according to CBS News:
‘Donald Trump said he would put America first and now he has. The United States leads the world in Coronavirus cases.’
Priorities USA Chairman Guy Cecil said:
‘America should be setting an example and leading on the world stage. But instead, Donald Trump is failing us and now we are first in infections and first in deaths. We will never let him rewrite history or hide the truth from the American people.’
Monday evening, Trump held another press briefing, this time in the Rose Garden where he said:
‘The testing is not going to be a problem at all.’
