Longtime Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway is continuing to stick right by the president’s side through the deadly chaos of his so-called response to the Coronavirus pandemic. This week at the White House, Conway delivered an angry tirade against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) after reporter Weijia Jiang seemingly asked Conway about any White House concerns about the health of the president and vice president amidst the pandemic. Incredibly, although Conway works for a man who is known for his endless petulant Twitter outbursts, the Trump adviser tried to insist that Pelosi is actually the petty one in this whole situation.
She told reporters, in reference to the so-called Phase Four Coronavirus relief funding package that Pelosi and House Democrats have recently unveiled:
‘Right now, when I think of Nancy Pelosi, I think of her ridiculous package “HEROES.” It really should be called zeroes, since she’s in there talking, she has the word China one time in 1800 pages. There is money in there for a lot of her pet projects, and I think that Nancy Pelosi faces real headwinds, it seems, among some of her rank-and-file Democratic members, who won in 2018 in Trump-Pence districts… When I think of Nancy Pelosi, I think of her being triggered every time somebody says President Trump’s name. I mean last week on C-SPAN she said “Don’t even talk about him; let’s not even talk about him.” She acted like the president’s irrelevant.’

Conway sounds offended. This whole diatribe is outrageous coming from a close adviser to the president of the United States while Americans die in large numbers each and every day due to the Coronavirus. The White House’s priorities lie with going after the president’s opponents, apparently, rather than assisting the Americans who are struggling.
Why on earth would including more mentions of China in Pelosi’s bill do any good for the American people, as Conway suggests? Quite simply, it would not — the virus has no nationality, and it’s here, in the U.S., right now, and it’s killing Americans no matter what racist diatribes that the president’s team wheels out.
This Friday morning, Trump proved that he is definitely still prioritizing lambasting political opponents. Although the U.S. has suffered through slavery, two world wars, a civil war, multiple presidential assassinations and assassination attempts and more, Trump trumpeted on Twitter that the still undefined scandal of “Obamagate” was supposedly the worst U.S. political scandal to ever unfold.
‘Thank you to @foxandfriends for covering, supremely, the greatest political scandal in the history of the United States, OBAMAGATE. Fake News @CNN and Concast’s own MSDNC are only trying to make their 3 year Con Job just go away. They are embarrassed and don’t know what to do’
….Likewise, the @nytimes and @washingtonpost are a disgrace to journalism. They are all Fake News, and they know it better than anyone else. History is unfolding, and it is not a pretty picture for “journalism”.

That is, quite simply, delusional nonsense.
Going forward, Congress is still grappling with huge needs among the American people. Tens of millions of unemployment claims have been filed in recent weeks alone, and the official unemployment rate has shot up to levels that are the worst on record since the Great Depression.
