Americans are getting very serious about the coronavirus pandemic. After it hit the northwest section of the country and the west coast, some started saying the pandemic was over. Uh, no it was not finished pounding on us. Then, it hit the south all the way across with deaths reaching those of New York’s numbers in some states. Rudderless Republican captains of this great ship the United States of America have been doing their best to sink it. The most powerful woman in the country had something to say about their unforgivable lack of leadership.
If Donald Trump was working for Russia’s dictator aka President Vladimir Putin and taking orders to bring our country to its knees, he could not do a better job. Ignore world-renowned virologist Dr. Anthony Fauci. Check. Try to infect as many people as possible by holding maskless rallies, sending them back to school, calling coronavirus a “hoax,” and sending them back to work. Check. Steal the statistics and funnel them into a Health and Human Services black hole. Check. Destroy the economy. Half a check.
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is second in line to the president. That means if Trump and Vice President Mike Pence are incapacitated by the coronavirus, because they will not wear masks, the nation will have its first woman president — finally.
The speaker said POTUS is acting like a “man who refuses to ask for directions.” Then, she pointed to the scientists. Simple lifesaving measures: masks, isolation, testing, and social distancing could end the COVID-19 virus. Simple. Instead, Trump tries to take down Fauci. Pelosi said:
‘Observing the President’s behavior, it’s clear he is like a man who refuses to ask for directions. All the answers are there. The scientists are clear: testing, tracing, isolation, and masks are critical. And yet the President takes the wrong path.’
According to the co-founder of the Lincoln Project Steve Schmidt on MSNBC’s Deadline White House, London has signs all over the place saying:
‘All Americans Must Be Accompanied By An Adult.’
Trump is the only man refusing to ask for directions, even running hard against them. Georgia’s Governor Brian Kemp (R) just banned mayors from mandating wearing masks. Florida’s Governor Rick DeSantis (R) bragged that his state avoided the pandemic. He opened up his economy and welcomed spring breakers only to send them back across the country to infect others. Now, Florida is second in COVID-19 cases, just after New York.
Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt and his entire maskless family went out to eat right before Trump showed up for a failed rally with thousands of empty seats. Then, Stitt tested positive, but did he stay home? No. Did he isolate? No. Did he wear a mask? No. Did he go to Walmart and expose who knows how many people? Yes.
