Just as once protesters were victimized in the 1960s during the Civil Rights movement, protestors in the current movement toward racial equality have been brutalized by federal agents sent in to “dominate” them by the president. Most poignantly, a group of adult women who called themselves “the wall of moms” who encircled protesters to protect them from harm and were tear-gassed and physically assaulted at the behest of Donald Trump.

Trump has tried saying that the group of women were a “scam” perpetrated by the “Lamestream” media to make him look bad. The Lincoln Project is refusing to let him cover this one up with his normal, blame the media dismissals. He has literally sent federal police forces to attack citizens of his own country and, one several fateful nights, the victims were women who gathered to protect people in their communities.

Trump is rapidly losing ground with white women just three months prior to the November election and currently stands much lower against Biden in polls with women than he did with Hillary Clinton. His recent fear mongering of the protests as lawlessness and criminality is an appeal to suburban moms, but he doesn’t appear to be benefitting from that strategy at all.
