Donald Trump doesn’t exactly seem to be attracting an overwhelming number of new fans with his refusal to accept the results of the recent presidential election. He has arrogantly claimed that widespread fraud plagued the recent electoral process, but his claims are totally unsupported by the meaningful evidence at hand. Now, Carly Fiorina — a former CEO of Hewlett-Packard and ex-Republican presidential candidate — has joined the fray of those hammering the outgoing president’s belligerence. She didn’t mince words; in a Wednesday Twitter message, Fiorina said that Trump “lacks the mental faculties and strength of character necessary for” the presidency.
Fiorina commented as follows:

So far, a sizable number of Republicans have gone along with Trump’s attacks on the credibility of the recent election. There’s never been any meaningfully conclusive evidence for the president’s claim that fraud plagued the electoral process, but Republican Senators have frequently proven hesitant — to say the least — to accept President-elect Biden’s win. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), who was recently re-elected, openly insisted recently that Trump should not concede. Trump’s refusal to concede doesn’t have any meaningful legal weight — Biden will be the next president whether Trump accepts reality or not — but his lies about the election dangerously erode trust in the electoral process among his followers.
A new Reuters/ Ipsos poll reveals that about “half of all Republicans believe President Donald Trump “rightfully won” the U.S. election but that it was stolen from him by widespread voter fraud that favored” Biden. There is no meaningful evidence supporting this perspective. The Department of Homeland Security and local election officials of both major political parties around the country have confirmed that there’s no evidence of a systematic meltdown. World leaders of multiple political persuasions have accepted Biden’s win. Yet, Trump keeps casting doubt.
