Chris Krebs Threatens Legal Action After Trump Lawyer Death Threats

We can all rest assured that our November 3 presidential election was fair and free even though Donald Trump has been doing his best to make his daylight coup successful. We owe that to the former US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency Director Christopher Krebs. Of course, the president fired him, but this hero who spoke truth to power will fight back.

he was looking at “legal opportunities” after a lawyer for Trump’s reelection campaign said Krebs should be “shot.”

Krebs disagreed with Donald Trump’s claim the election was rigged. So in The Howie Carr Show one of the president’s campaign attorneys, Joseph diGenova, called in with these troubling words:

‘Anybody who thinks that this election went well, like that idiot Krebs who used to be the head of cybersecurity [for Trump]. That guy is a class A moron. He should be drawn and quartered. Taken out at dawn and shot.’

Krebs did the NBC Today Show Tuesday, where he said that the  diGenova was acting out “more dangerous behavior.” The former Trump appointee said he and his team are “taking a look at all of our available opportunities,” and what was next for him was to “take advantage” of the law:

‘We are a nation of laws, and I plan to take advantage of those laws. I’ve got an exceptional team of lawyers that win in court, and I think they’re probably going to be busy.’

The underlying problem is that the attorney was “speaking on behalf of the President,” according to The Forbes magazine:

‘This is not just a random Parler troll trying to get attention. This is an attorney speaking on behalf of the President of the United States’ re-election campaign.’

‘And while it may read like a macabre joke, the direct nature of diGenova’s comments make it impossible to interpret as anything other than a real wish/threat against a public servant for offering truthful testimony.’

He watched as the president discount and devalue the November election as “a fraud” with “massive improprieties,” and “highly inaccurate” among other choice words. Then, Krebs reached his limit. He released a statement reassuring Americans that theirs was “the most secure in American history.” His words of assurance could not have come at a better time.

Trump went after Kreb for being more loyal to the country than his president. While appearing on the CBS news show 60 Minutes interview, Krebs indicated that he would stand by his words:

‘We did a good job. We did it right. I’d do it a thousand times over.’

Trump and his lackeys have continued to promote the voter fraud angle. The problem is that they are spilling danger all over the place as they try to carry the presidency home to POTUS:

‘Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said he and his wife received death threats after he refused to portray his state’s election as fraudulent. Plus, employees of Dominion Voting Systems — a voting machine manufacturer falsely accused of election rigging — have been subjected to harassment, the company’s CEO said in a Wall Street Journal op-ed Monday.’

The administration is rife with threats. Former White House strategist Steve Bannon said Dr. Anthony Fauci and FBI Director Christopher Wray should be beheaded.

Trump’s people have not been calling out “Fire!” in a crowded theater. This is worse. These are literal calls to action to the Trump crazy base. These are death threats.
