Chris Wallace Destroys GOP Anti-Vax Narrative During ‘Fox News Sunday’

Why do people refuse to take the coronavirus vaccine? The answer is multi-faceted. An upstate New York hospital just declared that it would not be delivering babies. It appears that so many of the nursing staff decided to quit rather than take the vaccine that they did not have enough nurses to handle newborns. But they are medical people, and they are not the only ones in medicine who refuse the shot, according to CNN. Fortunately, there appears to be one Fox News host left over from the real news era. This is what he said.

He interviewed the governor of Nebraska Pete Ricketts (R) and immediately got right down into the dirt. Days ago President Joe Biden called on companies with over 100 employees to mandate COVID-19. His mandate would be followed by a change in OSHA regulations and penalties in keeping with a workplace safe for its employees.

Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace said:

‘I’ve talked to a number of people. They’ve told me, if they make me take the vaccine, I’m just going to be fired. You say it’s a personal choice. In fact, to attend school in your state of Nebraska, children must be vaccinated against a number of diseases.’

Then, Wallace ticked off other deadly diseases that have been conquered via vaccinations: tetanus, polio, measles, and chickenpox among others. He asked:

‘Why are those mandates that parents and your state must comply with and do comply with routinely, why is it that they’re not so objectionable and such a violation of personal freedom but Biden’s vaccine mandates are?’

Ricketts’ case appeared to be that the Covid-19 vaccine does not have a “long history” of use:

‘There are still a lot of people out there that don’t know what to trust. This is really an outcome of what the CDC has done because they have flip-flopped on so many issues, whether it’s masks or if you have masks when you’ve been vaccinated and so forth. There’s just a lot of people out there that don’t know who to trust right now. That’s why it should be a personal choice and not something mandated by the government.’

Wallace dug in further, pointing at that the polio vaccine was an immediate mandate upon arrival:

‘So we’re in the middle of a pandemic, there is a new vaccine that Donald Trump was largely responsible for, it’s been approved — full approval — by the FDA.’

‘Again, if the polio vaccine is OK for parents and they have to comply with it to send their kid to school, why not the vaccine for this disease?’

Ricketts also dug in his heels:

‘[This is] very different from polio. Children are no more at risk for the coronavirus than they are the ordinary flu. The risk for this is just such that this is something that we shouldn’t be mandating it.’

Watch Wallace in action Sunday morning:

‘CHRIS WALLACE: To attend school in Nebraska, kids need to have all sorts of vaccinations. Why should Covid be different?

GOV. PETE RICKETTS: There’s just a lot of people who don’t know who to trust right now

WALLACE: It has FDA approval’
