The January 6 Committee sent a subpoena to Trump’s White House trade advisor Peter Navarro. Navarro said he had seen “nothing but peaceful people” on January 6, according to The Huffington Post. Select Committee Chair Bennie Thompson (D-MS) released a statement where he said, according to CNBC:
‘Mr. Navarro appears to have information directly relevant to the Select Committee’s investigation into the causes of the January 6th attack on the Capitol.’
Thompson continued addressing Navarro’s role to shift the 2020 presidential election from President Joe Biden to Trump:
‘He hasn’t been shy about his role in efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election and has even discussed the former President’s support for those plans.’
Thompson added:
‘More than 500 witnesses have provided information in our investigation, and we expect Mr. Navarro to do so as well.’
Navarro also dealt with technology, according to YouTube:
‘Peter Navarro, assistant to the president and the director of the Office of Trade and Manufacturing Policy, tells CNBC’s “Squawk Box” that Facebook CEO had no influence of President Trump’s decision to crackdown on TikTok.’
