In a new video, the anti-Trump conservative group known as The Lincoln Project went after Ohio Republican U.S. Senate candidate J.D. Vance and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), the latter of whom has thrown her support behind Vance’s bid for office, which has also garnered the endorsement of former President Donald Trump. Vance is a buffoon; recently, showing the absolute dearth of basic competence that we’re working with here, he tweeted that he has “a buddy in France” (and?), remarking that the French “just had an election there. Polls closed a few hours ago and they already know who the winners are. Must be nice to live in a first world country.” The process of determining the winner of U.S. elections isn’t some kind of backwards, incomprehensible mess, even if suggesting as much scores Vance political points.
New: Judge Reggie Walton gives a withering Jan. 6 rebuke of Trump: “Our democracy is in trouble because unfortunately we have charlatans like our former president who doesn’t, in my view, really care about democracy but only about power.”

In their new video, The Lincoln Project tied Vance to Greene, associating the Trump-endorsed Ohio Senate contender with some of the Georgia Congresswoman’s most ridiculous moments. Mockingly, a narrator says as follows in the new clip:
‘The J.D. Vance campaign is proud to announce the endorsement of Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene. J.D. Vance and Marjorie Taylor Greene are your voice on the key issues — the Las Vegas shooting massacre that killed 58 people? Marjorie Taylor Greene says it was a conspiracy to attack the 2nd Amendment. When the power grid went out in California, J.D. Vance’s Marjorie Taylor Greene saw the real truth and blamed Jewish space lasers. J.D. Vance’s Marjorie Taylor Greene knows the real truth behind 9/11. J.D. Vance and Marjorie Taylor Greene — conspiracies, Jewish space lasers, and 9/11 truths. Vance and Greene: they’ll be Ohio’s voice in Washington.’

Some of Greene’s recent hits — meaning moments when she was profoundly embarrassing yet again — include a complaint about the so-called “demonization” of Russian leader Vladimir Putin, a complaint she posted on Twitter (in the form of a quote from Henry Kissinger) after evidence of Russian war crimes in Ukraine circulated.
“the demonization of Vladimir Putin is not a policy; it is an alibi for the absence of one.”

As previously reported here, Greene also recently voted against a bill that overwhelmingly passed the House and has been described as set to “require the Biden administration to outline the process for the U.S. government to collect and preserve evidence of war crimes committed during Russia’s invasion of Ukraine that began in late February.” The same description, drawn from The Hill, said the bill would also require the Biden administration to “submit a report to Congress about the process for a domestic, foreign or international court or tribunal should one request information from the U.S. about war crimes.” Why would Greene oppose a measure dealing with the preservation of evidence of war crimes and requiring information about that process to be submitted to Congress? She claimed on Twitter that the measure “would hand over authority & our intelligence to the ICJ & ICC – international courts that could put our military on trial,” adding: “I will not vote for globalism & the slow slide to become a one world government. I will only vote to protect America, our military, & our borders.” That’s just bonkers — there is no “slow slide” towards a one world government that’s currently unfolding. She lives in a fairy tale reality.
It's official. Donald Trump just called me "dangerous" to Republicans in a "tough race" and threw his support behind JD Vance.
Vance is a Silicon Valley elitist and a phony, and we'll beat him come November.
