Donald Trump and conservative talking head Tucker Carlson were invited to speak at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Dallas, commonly called CPAC. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, 59, was invited, too, as The Lincoln Project showed in one of its latest videos.
The “strong man” also known as the dictator of Hungary liked the Russian President Vladimir Putin and developed a deep friendship with Moscow’s president. Carlson was quite smitten with Orban, 59, according to NBC News. He said that Orban was the “first European Union leader to speak out in support of Trump’s campaign in 2016.” Carlson even took his show to Budapest for a week in 2021. It has become a strong man love fest.
“Nazi ideals have resurfaced,” NBC News reported:
‘Nazi ideals have resurfaced in America under the guise of the Republican Party. It is our turn to fight them as our parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents once did.’
Orban’s big thing is “racial purity.” He spoke long and hard against immigration at the Conservative Political Action Conference to a cheering audience:
‘He systematically around the world for “systematically dismantling his country’s nascent democracy during his 12 years in power — but that hasn’t stopped him from emerging as a darling of many on the right in America.’
The Hungarian told an excited crowd at the conference, that this was “a battle to protect Western civilization against the forces of liberalism and mass migration.” He continued in the Lincoln Project’s video:
‘If you separate Western civilization from its Judaeo-Christian heritage, the worst things in history happen. Let’s be honest, the evilest (sic) things in modern history were carried out by people who hated Christianity. Don’t be afraid to call your enemies by their name. You can’t play safe but they will never show mercy.’
Orban called this a “culture war:”
‘Politics are not enough. This war is a culture war.’
