Another pair of participants in last year’s Trump-incited mob attack on the Capitol have been found guilty, this time by a judge, of criminal offenses for their involvement.

Those found guilty late last week include Kristina Malimon, identified by the Justice Department as now hailing from Texas, and North Carolina man Earl Glosser. Although their cases were discussed together and handled by the same D.C. Superior Court judge, the department says they didn’t originally arrive at the Capitol together. Their charges, however, were the same: a count each of unlawful entry onto public property. From D.C. judge Neal E. Kravitz, both received sentences of probation, financial penalties, and community service. According to the Justice Department’s recap of their involvement, neither Malimon nor Glosser were accused of directly perpetrating violence at the Capitol. However, they both confronted police and resisted efforts by officers to clear them from outside the building. The pair “both shouted insults at the officers, including calling them “Nazis,”” according to federal authorities.

Malimon has a history of avid involvement in pro-Trump causes and was responsible for a pro-Trump boat parade in August 2020 held in Portland, Oregon. A family boat that wasn’t participating in the pro-Trump display went under in reported connection to waves from the Trumpers. Someone in another boat on the water at the time who also wasn’t participating later attested to the impacts from the Trump supporters’ antics. Seth Ruden, the local resident, said: “Our boat pitched like I had never seen… The bow went from four feet up to actually going underneath the water repeatedly.” Malimon was also involved with local GOP politics in Oregon, including by having served as vice chair of the Young Republicans of Oregon.

Before arriving at the Capitol, where her mother also evidently participated in the chaos and was criminally charged, Malimon attended the pro-Trump rally in D.C. where the then-president spoke that afternoon, encouraging his supporters to action. Both Malimon and her mother have counted Bruce Castor, who represented Trump himself during his second impeachment trial, as their lawyer, although whether he still represents the pair is unclear. Malimon and Glosser were both originally arrested early last year in close connection to the riot.

In recent weeks, new arrests of Capitol riot participants have continued, and other cases have moved towards their conclusions. Five members of the same family were recently sentenced for participating in the riot at the Capitol, where they climbed through a broken window. The two parents of the group each received short stints in jail, while the oldest adult child — also a mother — received home confinement. The two other adult children, one of whom was just 18 at the time of the riot, received probation. A riot-tied trial for members of the far-right group the Oath Keepers on charges of seditious conspiracy is also continuing.
