The latest Quinnipiac University Poll is damning. Donald Trump has not done so poorly in the polls since 2015 when many people did not know who he was.
When this new Quinnipiac Poll came out Wednesday, it showed that fewer than 33 percent of the registered voters had a good impression of Trump. Only 31 percent rated him favorably, while 59 percent rated him unfavorably.
Trump has not sunk this low in the Quinnipiac Polls among all the voters since right after he announced his first campaign for president. The previous POTUS made his announcement at his private residence and resort in Palm Beach, Florida, Mar-a-Lago.
The red wave among Republicans’ midterm elections did not materialize. And many blamed 45 for forcing less than sterling candidates upon the party. The GOP lost the Senate and barely squeaked by in the House with the slimmest of margins.
When it came to all of the voters, 70 percent of them did not want the previous president as their candidate in 2024. That included 38 percent of the Republican interviewees. Other recent polls have shown Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) surpassing Trump nationally among Republican voters.
The previous resident of the White House tried to pull party members back to himself with another controversial statement. But this time, Trump’s words hit a discordant sound. A full 51 percent of the Quinnipiac Poll interviewees said that the former president’s comments about terminating the U.S. Constitution “disqualified” the ex-president from running for president again.
The newest and only Republican presidential candidate wrote on his platform, Truth Social, that Twitter mishandled an article about President Biden’s surviving son in 2020. And that was the reason Trump said he wanted the Constitution rules “terminated.” The New York Post had written a salacious article about Hunter Biden.
Releasing the files known as the Twitter Files to journalist Matt Taibibi on December 2 was among the first acts of the new Twitter and current Tesla owner Elon Musk.
Representative Ro Khanna (D-CA) appeared on Fox News Sunday Morning Futures and said:
‘It is wrong to censor newspapers. It is wrong to censor journalists. The New York Post hasn’t written a kind thing about me in my six years in Congress. They’re a conservative-point-of-view paper. But that doesn’t mean that you can stop publishing their pieces or articles or censor their journalists from sharing stories.’
Twitter did not expose Hunter Biden in October 2020. At the same time, many Trump children’s activities slipped beneath the radar, too.

The Quinnipiac Poll interviewed 1,456 registered American voters. It was performed between December 8 through 12, inclusive. The margin of error was +/- 2.6 percentage points, which shows a significant degree of accuracy.
