Trump Yells About ‘Treason’ After Prosecutors Gather Even More Testimony

Donald Trump is still mad, and as he makes another bid for the White House, he’s desperately clinging to what seems like just about every suggestion he can find that his campaign is actually doing great, despite the fact he may very well lose again.

Trump, though, of course isn’t exactly known for having a close connection with the facts. He was recently claiming that attendance for his marquee speech at this year’s edition of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in D.C. was so high that people couldn’t even get into the building. Available images and video actually show a series of rows in the back with many empty seats as Trump spoke. The main conference hall wasn’t even full.

On his knock-off social media site Truth Social late Tuesday, the ex-president ripped into potential Republican rivals of his, spotlighting polling data from New Hampshire that showed him leading Ron DeSantis and Chris Sununu, the latter of whom is the governor of that state, by a lot. Trump missed some of the relevantly basic facts, seemingly taking Sununu as actually running for president. Sununu was included in the poll just as a possibility.

“Great numbers in New Hampshire!” Trump bellowed. “They are smart up there and will never vote for a disciple of Paul Ryan, who worked hard to cut Social Security and Medicare, and raise the minimum age of Social Security to AT LEAST 70; or a nasty and selfish Governor, who should have run for the Senate instead of wasting time and money running for President, where he has ZERO chance of winning!” The first part of his commentary seems to reference DeSantis, against whom Trump has raised similar complaints.

In the same evening, Trump also repeated his call for releasing what would apparently be all those detained in connection with the Capitol riot. Consistently, he’s made no distinction between those accused of violence and those whose charges don’t reflect such behavior, suggesting he’s perfectly fine with accepting what in reality were well-documented and brutal assaults on scores of police.

“GREAT JOB BY TUCKER CARLSON TONIGHT,” Donald insisted. “The Unselect Committee of political Hacks & Thugs has been totally discredited. They knowingly refused to show the Videos that mattered. They should be tried for Fraud and Treason, and those imprisoned and being persecuted should be exonerated and released, NOW!” Trump also shared similar sentiments elsewhere on Truth Social. Any idea that portions of footage showing isolated moments without brazen physical violence as the riot unfolded somehow do away with the footage that also shows the brutal attacks on police that day is just ridiculous.
