Donald Jr. Loses His Mind After His Dad’s Latest Criminal Charges Allege Corruption

Predictably, Donald Trump Jr. — who often seems the most politically active of any of the former president’s children — didn’t take kindly to the news of his father’s latest indictment. This time, those charges were at the federal level and involved allegations of willfully retaining sensitive documents and obstructing investigators.

Prosecutors seem to have some fairly condemning evidence, too. That cache includes materials like recorded remarks Trump himself made in which he seemingly admitted in very direct terms to both not having taken any sweeping declassification action while in office and having harbored still protected documents. In other words, Donald seemed to indicate he did not just declassify everything when he still had the power, and he directly claimed to still have a protected document, which was in addition to the many documents later recovered from Mar-a-Lago, including in the 2022 search.

“We’re living in a 3rd world Banana Republic and the only way to stop what the corrupt Biden DOJ is doing is to put @realDonaldTrump back in the White House!!!” Donald Jr. insisted on Twitter. It’s odd how obsessive they are about comparing political developments they don’t like to what’s supposedly seen in the “third world.” Obviously, it sounds racist, considering a key and distinguishing marker present when people use that language. (Much of the “third world” is majority non-white.)

“Biden’s corrupt DOJ is openly interfering in the 2024 presidential election to stop Trump because they know Biden can’t beat him in a fair race,” Trump Jr. added recently online. “That’s what this is really all about and everyone knows it.” To be clear, the investigation that culminated in these new charges was active and ongoing before Trump even announced he was running for president. Pretending like there is some tie to the 2024 election is objectively without clear basis.

In yet another post, Trump Jr. also rehashed extremely, extremely dubious allegations about the current president having in the past supposedly taken a bribe of millions of dollars. The basic concept makes no sense, because what he was alleged to have done in response to that money — clamored against a then-top prosecutor in Ukraine — was directly in line with established Western policy.
