Former President Donald Trump continues his near-daily rants against the multiple criminal investigations that he is facing, which have culminated in four criminal cases spread across both the state and federal levels.

In comments posted online this Monday, he claimed that election interference is ongoing because he’s running for president as he faces these serious matters in court, saying: “WE HAVE A DEPARTMENT OF INJUSTICE RIGGING THE ELECTION FOR CROOKED JOE BIDEN. UNLESS IT IS QUICKLY STOPPED, ALL FUTURE ELECTIONS WILL FOLLOW THE SAME PATH!” He ignored how he had announced his campaign actually after all four underlying investigations were already ongoing and publicly known.

Posting on his alternative platform Truth Social in both instances, Trump subsequently complained about the hesitancy from Georgia GOP Governor Brian Kemp towards the idea from some on the far-right of impeaching Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who originated the criminal case against Trump and 18 of his allies in Georgia. She accuses the more than a dozen and a half individuals named among the defendants of involvement in a criminal conspiracy targeting Georgia’s election results from 2020, when Joe Biden scored a narrow victory in the state in the presidential contest. Trump made sweeping claims about the supposedly extensive reach of crime in Willis’s jurisdiction. His claims were untethered from the actual facts at hand.

“Governor Kemp of Georgia is fighting hard against the Impeachment of the crooked, incompetent, & highly partisan D.A. of Fulton County, Fani Willis, who has allowed Murder and other Violent Crime to MASSIVELY ESCALATE,” Trump insisted Monday. “Crime in Atlanta is WORST IN NATION. She should be impeached for many reasons, not just the Witch Hunt (I did nothing wrong!). Willis should focus on out of control Murder, not “I will get TRUMP” over a Perfect Phone Call. Georgia does not deserve this GIANT MURDER WAVE!”

The Atlanta-area jurisdiction where Willis was elected is not experiencing the worst crime rates in the U.S., per various metrics. In simple numerical terms, Atlanta is also not leading the nation in numbers of murders, though Trump may assert otherwise.
