Trump Spirals Before His Surrender In Georgia, Posting Brazen Delusions

It’s been discussed before how serving as a lawyer for former President Donald Trump could be difficult considering the propensity of the past commander-in-chief towards desperate, sprawling commentary online.

“The failed District Attorney of Fulton County (Atlanta), Fani Willis, insisted on a $200,000 Bond from me,” Trump said late Monday on Truth Social, his alternative social media site founded after mainstream platforms temporarily gave him the boot. “I assume, therefore, that she thought I was a “flight” risk – I’d fly far away, maybe to Russia, Russia, Russia, share a gold domed suite with Vladimir, never to be seen or heard from again. Would I be able to take my very “understated” airplane with the gold TRUMP affixed for all to see. Probably not, I’d be much better off flying commercial – I’m sure nobody would recognize me!”

The ex-president’s reaction to allegations of having criminally conspired to effectively undo the results from the 2020 presidential election is mockery.

In a slightly earlier post, he flatly misrepresented the nature of the criminal case that he is facing in Georgia alongside a dozen and a half co-defendants. He alleged that local District Attorney Fani Willis, who is behind the criminal charges, was working in tandem with the federal Department of Justice, an assertion for which it’s unclear there’s any substantiating evidence at all. Neither is there any conclusively substantiating evidence to show direct involvement by the current president in decisions around the multiple criminal cases that Trump is, in fact, facing at the federal level. Conspiracy theories to that effect do not reflect the facts.

“This is in strict coordination with Crooked Joe Biden’s DOJ. It is all about ELECTION INTERFERENCE!” Trump incorrectly insisted.

Major news recently emerged in the federal case against Trump that relates to him having harbored protected documents from his time in office. ABC News reported that Mark Meadows, who had a top role in the Trump administration as Trump left office, had told investigators he was unaware of various declassification actions that would have backed up the public claims from Trump the documents were no longer subject to those protections.
