Deranged Trump Claims Things Are ‘Really Working’ After Roe v. Wade Was Undone

In recent commentary posted to his personal profile on Truth Social, former President Donald Trump, who’s in the middle of trying to do… something around his stance on abortion, claimed that things were “really working” in the ongoing aftermath of the U.S. Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade in 2022.

The nation’s highest court doing so allowed state officials to set their own paths on abortion, and though some Democratic-leaning areas have pursued protections, Republicans in state power have run with draconian limits on health care.

“We are the ones taking care of Women, and now, after 53 years, where both Parties and all Legal Scholars and Experts wanted the always difficult and contentious subject of Abortion to go back to the States, we got it done, and now the States are setting their own Rules and Regulations – and it’s really working! We’ve given the Abortion Issue back to the Voters,” Trump claimed to his followers.

Would even Republicans agree with the idea that it’s “really working,” considering the waves of political and electoral blowback that the party continues to face from voters around the United States, even in traditionally GOP-leaning areas? And of course, what about the many, many Americans who have suddenly been hit with massive hurdles in accessing critical health care, forcing everyday folks to either wait until their cases are serious enough to warrant exceptions under GOP restrictions for health threats or travel elsewhere to access the help?

Trump posted the above late Friday, after trial proceedings in his New York City criminal case on records falsification charges wrapped up for the week.

To be clear, Trump endorsing the current state of abortion access in the U.S. would seemingly entail, by default, an endorsement also of the strict restrictions on abortion put in place by some Republicans, some of which don’t even have exceptions for rape and incest, forcing victims in these situations to continue with a pregnancy.
