Donald Trump is like a hot air balloon slowly releasing its air. Days ago, he could stand on any stage and command the attention of the world. Now his reach has deflated down to a mere shadow of its former power. People are not hanging on his every tweet. Instead, they are biting him back.
Mr. Rudy My-Hair-Is-Not-Dyed Giuliani held a fake hearing peopled with state lawmakers in Pennsylvania, a swing state. The former New York mayor held it at the Wyndham Hotel in Gettysburg, not to be confused with the Wyndham Lawn Fertilizer & Supplies.
Donald Trump phoned in, and Giuliani put his cell up to the mic in the pretend-hearing so everyone could listen to him order the lawmakers around. He wanted them to give him the “results” of the election due to alleged voter fraud:
‘Turn over the results.’
Take the Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro. When POTUS claimed he had won the state “by a lot,” the AG came right back with a sharp retort:
‘The sitting president’s remarks today were devoid of reality. The election is over. Pennsylvania has certified results & declared Joe Biden the winner of our Commonwealth. Lying through a cell phone at a fake hearing changes nothing.’
