Accountant For Trump Organization Betrays Donald In Criminal Probe

Like rats escaping a sinking ship, one of Donald Trump’s money men, Jeff McConney is betraying his old boss. The man has been a top accountant at The Trump Organization for three decades. The moment of decision was when he faced prosecution himself and realized it was either him or the former president. Some closest to Trump may take the bullet for him either due to loyalty or fear remains an unknown. This is just the beginning.

The Trump Organization veteran, McConney explained to investigators and a New York special grand jury details of crimes with the now-defunct Trump Foundation. The money man had to decide whether he was still faithful to Trump, who admitted his own mistakes. These statements would greatly assist current investigations for the prosecutors, The Daily Beast wrote in its exclusive:

‘I probably didn’t know at that time that we probably shouldn’t be using foundation funds for this type of thing… we made a mistake.’

During the investigation, McConney told a New York investigator for the AG that the ex-president used his charity to pay $120,000 fines against Mar-a-Lago:

‘I probably didn’t know at that time that we probably shouldn’t be using foundation funds for this type of thing… we made a mistake.’

There was evidence of crime at The Trump Foundation. Florida Attorney General Pam Bond dropped her investigation of Trump’s fake school, Trump University, after he donated $25,000 to her campaign:

‘We found out we made the contribution to… a political organization as opposed to a charitable organization… anything and everything that could go wrong, did go wrong, with this one request.’

Under oath and the threat of legal jeopardy, McConney talked about Trump ripping off donations meant for veterans:

‘At that time, we thought there was a possibility of handing out checks to veterans. I had a checkbook and a pen, piece of paper to write down the contributions, if that was Mr. Trump’s desire.’

Trump had been dropping excuses of ignorance and believed McConny adored him, would go down for him:

‘The former president thinks that Jeff worships the ground that he walks on.’

Government attorneys with the AG’s charities bureau Steven Shiffman and Peggy Farber investigated.  Barbara D. Underwood called it “a shocking pattern of illegality.”

The Manhattan DA and New York AG found that quite interesting. Indictment documents showed that Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Allen Weiselberg was in a world of hurt:

‘[The CFO faces] criminal tax fraud, falsifying business records, and scheming to defraud the government.’

‘Prosecutors claim the organization undertook a scheme to provide corporate perks like luxury apartments and private school in lieu of salary raises, allowing the company to dodge payroll taxes and letting employees avoid income taxes.’

McConney told investigators back in 2017:

‘So he is more the initiator, I guess, and I just keep everything going after that.’

One of the Daily Beast’s sources said:

‘I would never hear about Jeff getting any of the perks. I [rarely, if ever] heard about Jeff going to play golf with Trump for a day, or riding on the plane.’

‘We paid all of his bills.’

Trump claimed that after all he did for McConney, the man had no reason to turn on him:

‘The former president thinks that Jeff worships the ground that he walks on,” said a person who’s spoken to the ex-president about McConney in the past few weeks.’
