As Donald Trump rants and rages over the investigation into his incitement of an attack on the country he was sworn to protect, the civil case into his company’s alleged tax and bank fraud continues in New York. On Friday, Attorney General Letitia James gave an update after prosecutors District Attorney Alvin Bragg announced their resignation after delays and inaction by Bragg to continue moving the case forward.
Donald Trump was ordered to comply with my investigation into his financial dealings. He has the right to seek a delay, but he can't deter us from following the facts.
Make no mistake: We will continue to pursue this case without fear or favor because no one is above the law.

James’ mention of pursuing the case “without fear or favor” raises a lot of questions. No one is quite sure why Bragg has delayed the criminal case against Trump or why his prosecutors, including an expert on the prosecution of RICO (organized crime) cases, decided to resign.
According to The New York Times:
‘The two prosecutors leading the Manhattan district attorney’s investigation into former President Donald J. Trump and his business practices abruptly resigned on Wednesday amid a monthlong pause in their presentation of evidence to a grand jury, according to people with knowledge of the matter. The unexpected development came not long after the high-stakes inquiry appeared to be gaining momentum and now throws its future into serious doubt.’
While it remains unknown what James referred to by her mention of “fear or favor,” it’s left up to question whether she was referring to Bragg or the criminal case against Donald Trump and the Trump Organization. A recent ruling by a judge stated that Trump and his children, Donald, Jr. and Ivanka, will be legally required to respond to James’ subpoenas.
Twitter had their own thoughts about James’ tweet as well as the criminal case by Bragg. Read some of their comments below:
