All attention has been focused on Trump’s pick to the Supreme Court, a judge who will replace Justice Anthony Kennedy, who has often been a swing vote on liberal issues like Roe v. Wade. On Monday night, Trump finally announced his pick from the final four he had considered.

Trump chose Brett Kavanaugh to be the youngest justice to ever serve on the Supreme Court and, according to some political analysts, the most unqualified of the final list. Most interestingly for a Trump pick, however, Kavanaugh once argued that a president can be impeached for lying to the public and lying to his staff. That will be a difficult argument to wiggle away from during the Trump/Russia probe.

According to The New York Times:
‘Judge Kavanaugh’s arguments — expressed in the report of the independent counsel, Kenneth W. Starr, which he co-wrote nearly 20 years ago — have been cited in recent days by Republicans with reservations about him and have raised concerns among some people close to Mr. Trump. But Judge Kavanaugh has reconsidered some of his views since then, and there is no evidence that they have derailed his candidacy.’
Trump nominates Brett Kavanaugh for SCOTUS and Alex Jones has a sad bc Hillary Clinton is a lesbian who murdered her male lover Vince Foster but Kavanaugh looked at the actual evidence & didn’t get the memo from Breitbart: pic.twitter.com/MiRmM0wUq8

The fate of women’s reproductive health rights and the GOP’s attempts to gerrymander and threaten the voting rights of black Americans lies in the hands of a judge chosen by a conservative political group.
