In this world of Donald Trump-generated chaos and mesmerizing double-speak, logic appears to sound too simple, too easy. The swirling tweet storms from POTUS hurl down around everyone Yet, logic is exactly what is called for, and here is why.
The commander-in-chief sounded like a guilty man in his latest tweet, crying out “Rigged Witch Hunt!”
‘According to the Failing New York Times, the FBI started a major effort to flip Putin loyalists in 2014-2016. “It wasn’t about Trump, he wasn’t even close to a candidate yet.” Rigged Witch Hunt!’
He started off this one with two lies, which made the rest of his words suspect. The New York Times is not failing. On the contrary, it has been doing quite well. The superlative investigative journalists have opened up the dirty underside of this administration’s many corrupt acts and crimes — just look at the president’s Cabinet for evidence of this.
Then, there was the second lie. Russia’s President Vladimir Putin runs his country. No one accumulates wealth or power without his okay. Any “Putin loyalist” are in his pocket. Trump’s lie was that he was not even a candidate in 2014-2016.
Putin is not like Trump. Where the man sitting in the Oval Office has been impatient, impulsive, and operating from his gut instincts, the Russian president is a master strategist, who came up through the ranks of the former KGB (now GRU). The Donald would have fit nicely into the role of what the Russians call a “useful fool.” The KGB work their useful fools for decades.
Finally, the exclamation points in POTUS’ tweets give away his fear. Only a man who is afraid of being discovered and who has this much to hide would cry out this way so often.
