Trump Flies Out Of Bed In A Panic, Unloads 4 Incoherent Friday AM Tweets

President Donald Trump complains about the persistence of the Russia investigation, but consistently obsesses over it time and time again. This week, he took to Twitter to complain about concern over the Russia scandal yet again, this time in light of North Carolina Republican and Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr’s explanation that throughout what’s now more than two years of investigation, he’d found nothing to explicitly suggest the Trump team colluded with Russian efforts to influence the 2016 elections.

Trump ranted:

‘The mainstream media has refused to cover the fact that the head of the VERY important Senate Intelligence Committee… just stated that they have found NO COLLUSION between “Trump” & Russia. It is all a GIANT AND ILLEGAL HOAX, developed long before the election itself, but used as an excuse by the Democrats as to why Crooked Hillary Clinton lost the Election! Someday the Fake News Media will turn honest & report that Donald J. Trump was actually a GREAT Candidate!’

Actually, a simple Google search for “Richard Burr” reveals headline after headline about Burr’s comments. Trump just likes making up conflict, whether or not there even is any, apparently.

It’s true that Burr claimed to have found no evidence of collusion, but that’s hardly where the issue ends. For one, Trump associates could — as at least one already has — be charged with the collusion-related crime “conspiracy against the United States” by Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team.

The facts of the situation include that the president’s own son Donald Trump Jr. met with a Kremlin lawyer in Trump Tower because he thought she’d bring dirt on Hillary Clinton, Trump associate Roger Stone incessantly sought to coordinate and connect the Trump campaign and Wikileaks — and so on.

Whether or not Burr wants to call that “collusion” is just not where the matter ends by any stretch of the imagination, as he himself acknowledged, explaining that the scope of his committee’s inquiry has proven very broad and will probably have reverberations throughout committee work for years on end.

Still, Trump keeps ranting. Friday morning, he touted House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) having briefly met with opposition research driver Glenn Simpson as evidence that the whole House Russia probe is rigged — as if that’s the way this works.
