As people have been dropping from the coronavirus, Donald Trump sneaks around and fires federal workers. He holds a grudge for a lifetime, it seems. POTUS told his former presidential opponents that they would go to jail. Clearly, he is moving in that direction now.
House Intelligence Committee Chair Adam Schiff (D-CA) called out the president for his revenge firing. Many wonder why Trump does not do his job and manage the invisible enemy. He just tries to do his dirty work under the cover of darkness. It does not matter whether people are just doing their jobs, which was absolutely true in this case. The only test is whether they disagreed with him.
Schiff noted that Trump fired Inspector General Michael Atkinson “as retribution.” The president called the man “a total disgrace.” The California representative said that having a president who acts this way is “the disgrace:”
‘Trump just admitted firing Inspector General Atkinson as retribution. “He’s a total disgrace.” Actually, he abided by the law and the complaint was spot on. Someone who follows the law and their conscience is no disgrace. A president that fires him, he’s the disgrace.’
