Apparently, President Donald Trump’s sister, Maryanne Trump Barry, isn’t exactly a fan of the president — or his two adult children, Ivanka and Eric. Ivanka works in the White House as an adviser to her father — despite her complete lack of experience in government policy prior to her current role — and Eric, alongside his brother Donald Jr., was tasked with taking over executive decision-making at the Trump Organization following Donald’s election as president. On newly revealed audio tapes that Donald’s niece Mary revealed during a Friday appearance on MSNBC, Maryanne Trump Barry said she “couldn’t blame” late night host Samantha Bee for referring to Ivanka with the c-word over her brazen insensitivity, and she quipped that Eric “has become the moron publicly.”
Samantha Bee criticized Ivanka for a tone-deaf Instagram post featuring a photo of herself with one of her children around the same time that outrage was growing over the Trump administration’s separation of immigrant families at the southern border. Maryanne observed:
‘That damn Ivanka puts this picture of the Madonna and Child on Instagram when the big news of the day was how kids are being ripped from their families. I couldn’t blame… I’d never heard of Samantha Bee before. I couldn’t blame what she said.’
In another recording, Maryanne Trump added:
‘Meanwhile, Eric’s become the moron publicly. Ivanka gives a shit. She’s all about her… She’s a mini-Donald but yet he’s besotted with her. He always has been. She’s always been his favorite.’

Ivanka is the only one of the president’s children who got a job in the White House, it’s worth noting, and she’s stayed onboard through a lot of tumult. Even longtime Trump staffer Kellyanne Conway recently announced her impending departure, but Ivanka has yet to either leave or be fired.
The new tapes of Maryanne Trump Barry follow earlier tapes in which she said that her brother, the president, has “no principles.” As she put it:
‘All he wants to do is appeal to his base. He has no principles. None. None. And his base, I mean my God, if you were a religious person, you want to help people. Not do this.’
Mary Trump recently released a book called Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man, which is essentially a psychological profile of the president. Mary is a licensed clinical psychologist.
