Let us be honest. The country is facing a stark choice at the polls next month. First, there is the president who could play a mob boss in a movie. Donald Trump gorges on fast food, and apparently, exercise is against his religion, although he has grown an inch since he took office his doctor said. His orange makeup looks something like the rolls that go into the guts of a military bomb dropped from jets. The president looks somewhat younger than Joe Biden, but looks can be very deceiving.
In reality, the president is only three years younger at 74. Sure, Biden looks as if he has been through a lot, losing his son Beau Biden to cancer is just the latest. But watch how vigorous the Democratic candidate looks as he jogs up the steps to his airplane a C-SPAN video shows. The wisdom of age is valued in many countries, and it seems as if American is finally learning that valuable lesson.
Axios reported that Biden said “Here’s the deal…I guarantee you, I will be totally transparent” with his health records:
‘I laid out my health records in more detail, pages and pages of it when I became vice president. Everything, my entire background relating to my health. And thank God I am in good health. But here’s the deal. Anything can happen.’
‘I’ve become a great respecter of fate, a great respecter of fate. I’ve seen too much of it in my family related to accidents alone. I guarantee you, I will be totally transparent in terms of my health and all aspects of my health.’
Biden laughs:
‘And when it comes to Donald Trump versus me, just look at us. Who seems to be in shape? Who’s able to move around?’
Take the comparison of how the two men differ in their mask-wearing. Trump flaunted his naked face before the nation as if it was some sort of virology measure. Some people were surprised that it took him this long to get sick.
On the other hand, Biden mastered the virtual town hall, and always wore his mask. Just on Monday before he boarded that airplane flight, he wore it as he addressed reporters. Dr. Jill Biden, his wife and possible next first lady, slipped up behind him and gently tugged, a reminded to keep his distance.
Vigor and experience easily win out over a coronavirus-stricken POTUS who is obese by medical standards and now infected with a case of COVID-19. Of course, the coronavirus is not particular when it sweeps the nation. Unfortunately, the White House has maintained its strange veil of silence, which only ends up creating a plethora of conflicted messages. Trump has been chomping at the bit to go back to the White House, which has its own version of an ER.
If the physicians at the Walter Reed Military Medical Center let him go, it may be that he does not have a mortal case where a ventilator is his only rescue. Conversely, he is a notoriously bad patient, and maybe they just cannot wait to get rid of him.
Trump chooses deception, smoke, and mirrors regarding his health at the medical center. Biden is more of a straight shooter. The choice is simple.
