Donald Trump’s First Daughter-in-law must have gone to school at the Trump University before New York shut it down for corruption. When she appeared on CNN’s Jake Tapper’s State of the Union, she did not breathe to allow for an interruption for the entire segment…or so it seemed. Then, this.
Lara Trump is Eric Trump’s wife, and she has been on the trail as a talking head for the president. This morning, she appeared on the show arguing around her father-in-law ginning up the crowd to shout “Lock her up.” This time, it was regarding the Governor of Michigan Gretchen Whitmer. Tapper pointed out that the governor had received death threats to herself and her family, and a kidnapping/hanging plot against her was thwarted.
The First Daughter-in-law argued that she had received the same sort of death threats. Then she added, “[Trump] was having fun at a Trump rally.” Some fun. Vox journalist Aaron Rupar tweeted:
‘Lara Trump’s defense of Trump repeatedly ginning up “lock her up!” chants direct toward Gretchen Whitmer is pure whataboutism: “Well gosh, I’d like to show people my social media & the threats against me, the threats against my children… [Trump] was having fun at a Trump rally”‘

At New Hanover, North Carolina, The Port City Daily, Lara Trump said:
‘”I know why they chose Joe Biden; they chose him because they can control Joe Biden. Do not be fooled by Joe Biden. He might be a soft, old man, but he is the Trojan horse for these socialists who have now taken over the Democrat party.’
Twitter world got a little excited. Take a look at some of our favorite responses below:
