What is it with Republicans blaming other people for their own mistakes? That is a five-year-old’s excuse. Apparently, they believe that their constituents are too stupid to see through them. He may be sorely surprised at his next race. Senator Ted ‘Fly Me Away’ Cruz blamed his daughters for him abandoning Texans during the rare deadly winter freeze. Now, he is going after his neighbors.
Cruz went onto the Ruthless podcast hosted by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s former campaign manager Josh Holmes. Given the mike, the Texas senator went into his rant. He condemned his neighbors for outing him.
The senator’s wife, Heidi Cruz sent an invitation to neighbors via a group chat. She said that her family was escaping the frozen, heatless cities of Texas where her husband’s constituents were literally freezing to death. Water poured out of broken pipes leaving the faucets dry and the people parched.
The neighbors leaked those chat transcripts about the resort trip to Cancun, Mexico to The New York Times. Cruz said on the podcast:
‘I will say, Heidi was pretty pissed at that. She was over at the neighbor’s house yesterday, sort of walking through that… We have a number of Republicans who are neighbors but we also have a lot of Democrats, folks on our streets who put up Beto signs, which I thought was a little rude.’
Then, the senator berated his neighbors for being “disrespectful” of him:
