People have been begun speaking out against Donald Trump now that they have seen the House January 6 Select Committee’s police officers’ testimony along with powerful videos. Trump has tried to whitewash the failed coup from the nation’s memory with the aid of Fox News and other conservative media outlets and Facebook. But he is failing. A Florida official made a momentous statement.
Florida Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried commented that more people could have their permits “suspended or revoked as additional charges and convictions are handed down,” according to floridatoday.com:
‘Since charges began being filed, we are using our lawful authority to immediately suspend the licenses of 22 individuals involved in the storming of the U.S. Capitol.’
In her news release, Fried announced that she had suspended the licenses of 22 anonymous people charged in regard to rioting and taking over the symbol of our democracy, the Capitol Building.
This decision was made on Monday, at the same time that the House Select Committee on January 6 was hearing the testimony of four police officers injured in the attempted coup that resulted in five deaths, as reported by News4jax.com:
‘The deeply disturbing events that occurred at our nation’s Capitol on Jan. 6 were sedition, treason, and domestic terrorism — and those individuals involved in the insurrection must be held accountable for attempting to subvert our democratic process.’
Fried is responsible for the state licensing division. As such, she can suspend anyone’s weapons permit, including concealed weapons, should they be charged with a felony, according to fdacs.gov. Fried tweeted:
‘I just suspended the concealed weapons permits of 22 people involved in the insurrection against the United States of America instigated by Donald Trump on January 6, 2021.’
