Somehow, America has lost sight of who the Capitol Building belongs to and who the Senate, judicial system, and White House works for. As such, people are being arrested for exercising their constitutional right to peaceful protest and being arrested for telling the folks they have hired for not doing their jobs.

According to The Washington Post:

‘After some demonstrators shared stories of sexual assault, about two dozen were arrested outside Collins’s office, Wong said, before protesters moved on to the office of Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.), a critic of President Trump who is retiring and is seen by some as another possible “no” vote on the nominee.

‘The protest eventually moved to the rotunda of the Russell Senate Office Building. Women in Yale University sweatshirts — Kavanaugh attended law school there — shouted, “We believe the women.”

‘“This is a group effort led by seasoned activists and organizers,” Wong said. “We are close to victory.”’

Protesters chanted “we believe women” while wearing t-shirts inscribed “be a hero.” Police rounded up those protesters who had committed no violence and threw them in jail. The alleged sexual assault perpetrator they protested not only remains free, he has a chance of sitting on the highest court in the land.

Among the first two women to have accused Trump’s Supreme Court nominee are Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and Deborah Ramirez. With no investigation, Dr. Ford will testify in front of a Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday, upending her life and that of her children and family. Meanwhile, Brett Kavanaugh is making appearance on Fox News to attest to his innocence by saying he was a virgin in high school and long after. Believe it or not, some Americans actually believe him.

‘The protests came after two women accused Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct. Earlier this month, Christine Blasey Ford said Kavanaugh groped her while drunk at a party when they were in high school, covering her mouth when she tried to scream. On Sunday, Deborah Ramirez, Kavanaugh’s classmate at Yale, said he exposed himself at a party when they were both first-year students. Kavanaugh has denied the allegations.’

Dr. Ford’s life is forever changed, and its likely the Senate will confirm Kavanaugh anyway. Such is the life of American women who come forward, yet they’re still asked why more of them don’t.
