Apparently, Donald Trump has a fear of rain. Perhaps, that was what really kept him from joining hundreds of thousands of young men his age in Vietnam. Certainly, the little country has torrential rains. The president’s excuse of bone spurs might have just been to throw people off of POTUS’ odd rain phobia. That fear is called “Ombrophobia,” according to FearOf.net, and it can be debilitating.
For example, POTUS did not go out to lay a wreath at Arlington Cemetery, as presidents have done for ages. It seems, he was not even able to leave the house. White House correspondent for The Washington Post, Josh Dawsey, gave people a heads up tweet:
‘A lid at 10 AM. Trump will have no movements today, per White House.’
This was not the only incident of Trump letting the rain interfere with his plans. While he was in France, the man who sits in the Oval Office when it rains, refused to go to out to the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery and Memorial, due to rainy weather. This was the 100th anniversary to honor fallen Americans from World War One.
It seems that Trump’s helicopter could not fly in the poor weather, and apparently, the French have no other forms of transportation. It was a mystery how all of the other world leaders managed to get to the event.
There has been one notable exception from Trump’s fear of rain. Apparently, he has been able to overcome his fears any time he wanted to go golfing.
